Being Green

In the last “Li’l Omaha U. Annie” mailing,
Li’l Annie implored in the final block to “. . . put green stuff in the green
envelope . . .” referring to money, of course.
Two people took her literally. One sent back a
piece of lettuce; another a piece of green ribbon!!
The lettuce sender was kind enough to pay his
own postage while the ribbon sender added insult to injury by having the alumni
office pay!
