Student Center dedicated

University of Omaha students and alumni have a “new home.” The
multi-purpose Student Center, opened in March and to be dedicated June 3, gives
the campus a new feeling. Here is a wholesome, refined atmosphere . . . just
for fun!
Alums will return to a three-room suite
furnished with savings from Fund Drives. the quarters provide a
secretarial-reception room with seating facilities for 20 persons (Board of
Directors meetings will be held here), Executive Secretary’s office and a
darkroom. The Danish modern furnishings are in orange, black and gray.
The $1,340,000 brick structure is near Dodge
Street and overlooks the Gene Eppley Library (1956) and Administration Building
(1938) to the east, Fieldhouse-Stadium and Applied Arts Building (1959) to the
east, and the site of the Fine Arts Building (1965) to the west.
