Female Elected
The Omicron Delta Kappa Honorary (ODK) has been one of the
first UNO student organizations affected by HEW’s Title IX requirements to
insure sexual equality.
But you certainly couldn’t accuse them of lagging behind
the times. Traditionally, membership in the leadership honorary was open only
to men. Now, just a year after opening its membership to women, the
organization has a woman president.
Betty Ann Schuler, a junior majoring in home economics and
health, is the new president. She is a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority
and a past student senator.
