Music Department Awards First MM

Today
More than 550 students were graduated from UNO at the
December 21 commencement.
The UNO music department awarded its first Master of Music
degree to Peggy Horracks, a coloratura soprano whose specialization was in
voice with an emphasis on performance.
Ralph Winfred Tyler, board chairman of the American
College Testing proram (ACT), delivered the commencement address. Tyler, who is
also the director emeritus of the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral
Sciences at Stanford Universty, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Letters
degree from UNO.
