Welcome to the Thompson Center
at UNO
Newly expanded and renovated in
2006, the William H. and Dorothy Thompson Center is one of the most popular
event facilities in Omaha.
The elegant yet affordable facility is available
for rent to the general public for a variety of events, including wedding
receptions, meetings, conferences and holiday parties. Alumni status or
membership is NOT required to rent the Thompson Center. However, Alumni
Cardholders (donors to the UNO
Annual Fund, $25 suggested donation), receive a 10-percent discount on
rental fees for personal events. Current faculty, staff and students
of all four University campuses also receive a 10-percent discount on room
rental for personal events.

Weddings
Hundreds of couples have chosen the elegant Thompson
Center to host their wedding receptions, many of them utilizing our beautiful
grounds for outdoor

Holidays
Awards
banquets, client recognition dinners, annual meetings and breakfast meetings
are among the other functions the center regularly hosts. During the holidays,
the center is festively decorated for a warm atmosphere.
Corporate Clients
Corporate clients such as the Nebraska Medical Center,
Union Pacific and Alegent Health have found the Thompson Center's convenient
location and professional meeting environment a reason to return again and
again. Eight distinctive rooms are available for meetings, workshops, seminars

Catering
The Thompson Center is proud to partner with Brandeis Catering, one of
the area's premiere caterers.
Brandeis Catering has served the metro area since 1973 and The Thompson
Center since 1999. No event is too big or too small for its highly praised
staff, including experienced event planners, classically trained chefs and
