Thank you for your interest in hosting your upcoming event
at the Thompson Center. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce
ourselves and our services.
Brandeis Catering has been one of Omaha's premiere
caterers since the early 1970s and has been the Alumni Center's exclusive
caterer since 1999. Our offices are
located at the Georgetowne Club, a west Omaha facility we have operated since
1997. In addition to the Thompson Center, we cater to dozens of facilities and
locations throughout the metro area.
Whether you are planning a large wedding reception or a
small dinner party, our professional catering staff strives to make your event
a very memorable occasion. Being a complete caterer, our professional event
coordinators will work with you from start to finish. Each detail, no matter
how small, is taken care of allowing you and your guests to relax and enjoy the
event.
Following is a brief overview of what the Thompson Center
and Brandeis Catering include when you reserve the facility and our services
for your special event.
Once you have reserved your date and paid your deposit (if
applicable) you have automatically reserved our catering services. Thompson
Center management will forward your date and information to our office. If you
are hosting a wedding reception or other large event such as a holiday party or
anniversary party where it is anticipated that the final catering bill will be
over $1,500, a non-refundable $500 catering deposit will be due approximately
60 - 90 days after we receive your information. Our staff then will contact you about four months prior to your
date to start detailing your event. We
will be happy to meet with you, work over the phone or through email, what ever
is most convenient for you.
Brandeis Catering employs a team of classically trained
chefs who look forward to creating a meal you will be proud to serve your
guests. Our professional event planners
receive ongoing training at national conferences and look forward to sharing
new ideas with you.
When you check out our menu,
keep in mind that our per-person prices not only include great food and
beverage and a personal event planner but they also include: an event
supervisor and professional wait-staff on-site from set-up through clean-up;
and, complete china place settings, including flatware, glassware at the bar,
table linen and napkins along with linen and skirting for your buffet, head
table, and cake table. Also, we provide
round mirror tiles and non-scented votive candles to use as a part of your
centerpieces free of charge.
You are welcome to bring in your own cake, nuts and mints.
Our staff provides complimentary cake cutting if requested. We have on hand a cake knife and server,
tall flute toasting glasses for the head table, silk centerpieces for the
buffet, bowls and trays for your mints and nuts, plus we include a
complimentary bottle of champagne for the bride and groom.
Many other local banquet facilities can nickel and dime
you with extra charges for many of these items and services that we offer free
of charge. Please look at the bottom
line when deciding where to host your special event. We try to make everything straightforward and easy to understand.
There are many places in town where you can pay more and
many places where you can pay less, but with our complete menus and affordable
bar packages, you won't find a better value or find more professional service
than you will at the beautiful William H. and Dorothy Thompson Alumni Center
with Brandeis Catering.
