Alumni Professorships
The
UNO Alumni Association provides 12 professorships, which have totaled $817,500
in the past 24 years.
The
professorships began in 1983 when, during UNO's Diamond Jubilee celebration,
the UNO Alumni Association conducted a fund-raising campaign to establish
professorships in each of the university's colleges to recognize distinguished
faculty performance in teaching and research. Professorships were named in
honor of longtime past and present faculty members who served with distinction
in their respective academic areas.
