UNO Alumni Outreaches
Since
alumni can't always make it back to campus for a visit, the Alumni
Association sometimes visits them through Mavs on the Move outreaches.
Throughout the year the Association visits alumni at
various businesses with large numbers of UNO graduates, or to cities with
large concentrations of former Mavericks.
Alumni are brought up to date on university happenings
and get a chance to visit with various university figures, including the
chancellor and athletic department representatives.
Keep
an eye on this page for information regarding our next Mavs on the Move
outreach.
Previous Mavs On the Move visits have been made to such
companies as Union Pacific Railroad, First National Bank, Omaha and Millard
Public Schools and Mutual of Omaha. Nebraska cities visited include McCook,
Scottsbluff, Columbus, North Platte and Hastings. Outreaches also have been
held in Washington, D.C., Dallas, Phoenix and Denver.
To attend a UNO Alumni Outreach, e-mail Sheila King (sking@mail.unomaha.edu) or call her
at 402-554-4802. Toll-free calls taken at UNO-MAV-ALUM (866-628-2586).
