Going Green but staying dry
That
sir which serves and seeks for gain,
And
follows but for form,
Will
pack when it begins to rain
And
leave thee in the storm.
King Lear, II, iv, 79
There was much ado about storms, but actors with the
Nebraska Shakespeare Festival weren't about to leave fans of the Bard high and
dry.
Summer tempests forced the UNO Alumni Association's annual
Shakespeare on the Green picnic indoors July 2, NSF's performance of "Much Ado
About Nothing" moving to the UNO Theatre in the Weber Fine Arts Building.
The evening began prior to the play with a dinner for 120
guests in the Thompson Alumni Center.
"Thanks for all of your efforts in getting us young alums such
royal treatment at the Shakespeare event. I really enjoyed the night," wrote
one guest who attended as part of a UNO Young Alumni contingent. "I actually
didn't mind coming inside; at least I could see and hear everything that was
going on."
